Advanced training course
Thai Tok Sen Tapping Massage 1 + 2 (Combi Course)
We currently teach Thai Massage courses exclusively in Swiss German and / or High German. If your language skills are sufficient to follow basic instructions, feel free to give it a try. We can provide some assistance in English, but unfortunately, we don’t have enough time to run the full course bilingually.
Tok Sen is the name of the traditional Thai treatment using wooden tools. This practice originates from the Lanna region in Northern Thailand.
Tok Sen strictly follows the philosophy of Nuad Thai and is therefore not about tapping to release muscles. The targeted, sometimes gentle, sometimes stronger strikes on the chisel create acupressure, which, unlike Nuad Thai, does not rely on resistance. The vibrations penetrate deep into the tissue and can spread in a wave-like manner.
Contrary to initial assumptions, Tok Sen has a particularly strong energetic impact. Similar to Nuad Thai, this treatment is not suitable for all clients. It is a highly advanced technique, requiring both experience and personal maturity from the therapist.
Completion of Nuad Thai massage training is required to participate in the Tok Sen courses. SENSIB Nuad Thai 2 or an equivalent level from other schools.
