Combined course

Vipassana Meditation & Ruesi Dat Ton

We currently teach this course exclusively in Swiss German and / or High German. Also, the manuals are only available in High German. If your language skills are sufficient to follow basic instructions, you are welcome to try it. Of course, we can offer a little help in English, but unfortunately we do not have enough time to complete the entire course bilingually.

  • 1 course day, 6 hours from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm (with lunch break)
  • Including: Vipassana introductory course and Ruesi Dat Ton course

Vipassana Meditation Introduction

This half-day introductory course is practice-oriented and suitable for beginners without previous knowledge, as well as as a repetition for experienced. You will learn the basics of Vipassana meditation, as it is practiced in Thailand in everyday life and by the monks in the Wat. After this introduction, you will know everything you need to practice Vipassana for yourself afterwards.

  • Introduction «What is Vipassana»
  • Theory: What to do when doing nothing
  • Theory: Primary and secondary object and the «Noting»
  • Technique: Vipassana in walking
  • Technique: Vipassana while sitting
  • Practice: 10 minutes each in walking and sitting
  • Theory: About «Concepts and Attachments»
  • Final practice session: 20 min. each in walking and sitting

No previous knowledge is required.
Spiritually one must follow the philosophy and be able to understand it. We advise people who suffer from depressive conditions or take psychotropic drugs from participating. Young people under the age of 18 with parental consent.

Ruesi Dat Ton

In this half-day course you will learn the 18 positions Ruesi Dat Ton in the central Thai style. These physical exercises can be performed independently of young and old at the individual level of their physical fitness and are very suitable as an everyday routine to stay fit.
